Update from Rohan
I have been to the 9/11 memorial and it is a pretty sad and special place. More than 3000 people died when the twin towers buildings were hit by two planes. The building metal warped from the heat of the explosion and the two tallest towers fell to the ground crushing everything. The best bit of the memorial was seeing the things that people had done to thank and help all the firefighters and police who were there risking their lives to save people. We found a name on the memorial water feature and then looked up the name on the database inside the museum. The person who we looked up was Sean Patrick Tallon and he was a firefighter in the 21st Hook and Ladder Company. Sean used to be a marine and was only 29 years old and was only just completing his probation period as a firefighter when he died saving people from the towers. Some of the photos below show all the damage to the fire trucks from the building collapse.

Brooklyn Night Bazaar
Post from Supermum2012: What a day New York put on today. Beautiful spring day which saw me checking out the hip hop guys scamming the tourists in Central Park and finishing it off with a trip over the bridge to the Brooklyn Night Bazaar for the best pork sliders in the known universe. It completely looked like the dodgiest door to nowhere when we first got dropped off in the middle of a random Brooklyn Street but this converted car park by day becomes a groovy little night market after 7pm.
